The Director of Marketing will provide leadership and coordination of all marketing activities for the University including, but not limited to, website management, brand initiatives, advertising, digital media, and collateral materials. This position will report to the Assistant Vice President of University Relations and serve as a key member of the team as the lead marketing professional responsible for implementing strategic initiatives designed to advance Florida Poly’s reputation as a leader in higher education.



  • Develop an overall strategic marketing plan for the University.
  • Work with campus communicators to present integrated messaging and consistent use of the University’s trademarks; oversee brand management.
  • In collaboration with graphic design and digital media professionals, develop, implement, and direct the following: print, graphic design, video and photographic services, and digital media campaigns.
  • Support all University departments with marketing and promotional needs and ensure successful execution of projects and deliverables.
  • Oversee University website functions and manage day-to-day web updates.
  • Arrange for ongoing marketing research, all forms of advertising and placement, and develop/produce television commercials (as needed).
  • Develop tools for evaluating marketing initiatives and be able to generate return on investment.
  • Manage design and execution of all University collateral materials.
  • Oversee administrative and budgetary responsibility for all marketing activities.
  • Prepare budgetary reports and proposals as needed.


  • Superior knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics

  • Must be a self-starter and deadline oriented


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and six years of appropriate experience; or
  • Master’s degree in related field and three years of appropriate experience.


  • Master’s degree in marketing
  • Experience in higher education


  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • This position requires a criminal background check, which may include a Level II screening as required by Florida Statute §435.04.
  • This position is subject to federal and state privacy regulations.

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE:       This position is salary exempt.  The normal work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. However, occasional overtime (weekends and evenings) may be required. Travel between campus locations may be required.

TARGET HIRING SALARY:  $85,000 - $100,000, commensurate with experience.
