Job Summary/Essential Job Functions: Under the direction of the Digital Content Manager and Assistant Vice Chancellor of Communications and Marketing this position will coordinate, evaluate, edit, maintain, and publish digital content on the UTHSC website and official social media channels on a university-wide basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports the strategic mission of Communications and Marketing by regularly reporting on website analytics.
Monitors official university social media channels, researches new opportunities to expand the digital communications capabilities of UTHSC.
Enforces brand and content standards and serves as a content ambassador to the rest of the UTHSC community.
Supports digital content development across campus through providing advice, guidance, and content development assistance to faculty and staff across campus.
Gathers, creates, evaluates and publishes content on the website and social media accounts that supports UTHSC's mission.
Collaborates with the Digital Content Manager (and team) in fostering a university-wide culture that encourages faculty and staff to take an active and ongoing role in content generation, content publishing, and maintenance of content.
Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, two (2) years of experience managing, creating, and maintaining content for digital publication, preferably at a college or university OR a combination of college coursework and related work experience to equal ten (10) years. Position requires demonstrated ability to create, edit, and maintain digital content; experience with enterprise content management systems, preferably OmniUpdate; ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel about issues pertaining to digital content and content creation and maintenance in a manner that contributes to a culture of collaboration; knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is a plus. Experience with one or more of the following preferred: digital marketing campaigns, email marketing, search marketing, SEO, and social media marketing. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED).
