Communications Specialist (Web Production and Content Manager) Responsible for writing and communicating product and other pertinent information to the Snap-on Industrial sales force using appropriate internet and e-mail based solutions. Work as the interface between I.T. and Marketing Services on all internet technical issues. Utilize Search Engine Optimization strategies and methods to develop, advise, and coordinate content for Snap-on Industrial's various external web presences. Maintain Industrial Information Center (Intranet), including graphics layout and links. Create and maintain the structure for the Intranet. Import graphic content such as images and video into websites and communications utilizing tools such as HTML, Flash, and PDF. Incorporate all forms of marketing communications developed by the department into the Intranet and Industrial website.
Key responsibilities include: Provide vital information to the field sales organization and those who rely on the Industrial Information Center (Intranet) as their primary source of information. Identify and implement short and long term strategies for electronic marketing communications. Maintain and provide support for the Intranet, the planned upgraded Industrial Website, and future internet/intranet sites. Advise on and assist in implementing Snap-on Industrial's electronic communications, marketing, and e-commerce strategies. Support department activities as required utilizing software tools, including database, project management, and desktop publishing.
Use creative skills to adapt existing content for the internet and the department. Oversee the editing and conversion of product information to electronic PDF, Flash, video, and HTML formats. Ensure a consistent flow of product and promotional information as support to the selling process.
Work closely with Sales & Marketing personnel to identify, define and develop projects, implementation plans, schedules, and site development. Assess the best methods to implement web strategies, and coordinate project planning. Analyze and evaluate site performance and solutions; design, test, implement and document Web applications and systems.
Develop, evaluate and communicate website usage and search engine statistics and reports, evaluating results and communicating them to all levels of the Industrial organization.
Work closely with product management and business development personnel to implement and drive the vision for the dynamic timely content for the site, sustaining the leading-edge image of Snap-on Industrial. Work closely with external partners to help implement the technical vision for developing the tools and applying the process used in Web content creation/management.
