Business Development, Marketing: Communications, Sales
The successful candidate is a problem solver in a fast-moving and highly diverse environment and will be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and timeliness are not compromised. The Proposal & Marketing Manager will be working directly with agency leaders and our sales team. The key responsibilities will be to support the sales and marketing efforts of the agency through proposal development and marketing initiatives. This role will be able to translate client needs clearly and deliver proposals that demonstrate how MYB can help our clients and prospective clients be successful. This candidate has a love of writing and organizing and can easily take complex problems and communicate them in easy to understand and relevant ways.
Contributing to the overall marketing of the agency, this candidate will assist in spearheading marketing initiatives and campaigns from conception through execution. This is an exciting opportunity to take your marketing experience to the next level.
This position will take on occasional project management for Strategy accounts and ensure solid account communication, coordination and organization among necessary parties.
Candidate must be comfortable and skilled at keeping all the project needs front and center while using subject matter expertise and critical thinking to ensure outstanding client deliverables.
I.Sales Proposal Management
Working directly with senior leaders, assess the needs of clients and strategize on proposal development, appropriate value propositions for proposals, presentations and other appropriate related sales materials.
Review RFP specifications.
Research and resolve complex issues pertaining to RFP responses using critical thinking skills to ensure solid recommendations and solutions.
Write proposals demonstrating understanding of client’s needs, outlining solutions and services and ensuring all RFP requirements are addressed.
Become knowledgeable about clients’ business practices and functions and understand the relationship between company products/services and the appropriate needs for clients.
Proof and edit proposals ensuring content and context is appropriate.
Proactively make suggestions to ensure clear and compelling communication to “sell” agency services.
Support agency marketing through:
Contributing to the overall marketing strategy of agency
Project management of marketing projects
Managing and coordinating marketing campaigns from conception through execution, tracking, and follow up
Providing copywriting for marketing materials
Assisting and spearheading corporate marketing programs
Database management via Hub Spot platform – serve as administrator as well as handle day to day entries and updates as needed
Developing “case studies” to be used for sales and marketing purposes
III. Sales Administration Support sales and executive team as appropriate, including but not limited to:
Binding proposals and presentations
Drafting client contracts
Setting up client calls and GO TO Meetings
Ongoing sales reports
IV. Strategy & Research Support & Backup
Coordinate and organize client project discovery materials
Actively participate in account meetings as needed and proactively communicate status of projects and recommendations regarding next steps and needs
Assist as needed in regard to account management tasks including:
Timeline development and upkeep
Scheduling and tracking stakeholder interviews using established procedures
Qualifications: •Master’s degree preferred in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism; Bachelor’s degree with appropriate experience will be considered •Approximately 3-5 years of experience in communications/marketing, consultative sales, inside sales support or other related roles preferably in consulting environment •Exceptional verbal and written English skills •Outstanding interpersonal skills •Strong critical thinking skills including the ability to process complexity •Ability to translate big concepts into “user-friendly” solutions •Ability to manage large amounts of detail and complexity •Ability to work as an independent thinker as well as a part of a team •Advanced skills in Microsoft Office software programs such as Word, EXCEL, and PowerPoint •Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to internal clients •Ability to effectively present information •Ability to lead, manage, and prioritize projects •Meeting deadlines in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment •Ability to work occasional evenings and/or weekends •Past experience and knowledge of the Association market and CVBs is a plus!
