The School of Professional & Extended Studies (SPExS) seeks an energetic communication/ marketing professional with exceptional project management skills. Are you looking for a diverse, thriving start-up non-profit environment? This Communication & Marketing Manager position is for you! SPExS specializes in life-long experiential and continuing education for students of all ages around the world. We work in close collaboration with employers and educational partners around the nation and the globe. You would support your colleagues and the dean to develop, implement and measure the strategic communications and to market over a dozen pre-collegiate, undergraduate, English language and bridge, graduate and executive education programs. This position also supports alumni and external relations as needed.

A Bachelor's degree is required. A Master's degree in communication, public relations, or marketing is preferred.
At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, advertising, public relations, or related area with a proven track record of developing and executing client-based marketing, communications, and social media plans
Experience with print and digital communications media, including web based and social media
Experience with content management systems
Strong interpersonal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail with proven ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Ability to work in a collaborative, multicultural environment with diverse constituencies
Ability to communicate effectively with outside vendors and agencies
Familiarity with the organizational structure of major colleges and universities and the challenges specific to higher education communications
1-3 years of project management experience
Knowledge of higher education and new/emerging trends in communications
Experience with media analytic tools and marketing dashboards to track performance
Experience with Common Spot CMS
Familiarity with media relations a plus
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or other design software
Experience in higher education
