National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), located in Arlington, VA, seeks highly qualified candidates for the position of Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) Communications & Marketing Specialist (Grant-Funded). This position is a key contributor to the creation and delivery of strategic communications and marketing initiatives needed to maximize registration and participation in AEOP programs nationwide. Will be responsible for all aspects of marketing to include but not limited to social media, website updates, print advertising, participant interviews, and press releases; generating and posting relevant social media, conducting interviews, writing blogs, and developing material as requested. Experience and familiarity with leading social media platforms including twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest. Prior experience with email marketing and other online marketing. Outstanding written and oral communication skills, an excellent command of grammar and the ability to proofread and edit materials for accuracy. Time management skills a must and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Knowledge of military (specifically the U.S. Army) protocol preferred. Traveling to conferences is required (5-10 trips per year) along with participating at the National Judging & Educational Event. Bachelor’s degree required. Three to five years related experience in communications and marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
